Context:


Tertiary students are expected to demonstrate research skills and the ability to critically analyse the value of research to an essay question. Essay writing is a method of communication used at tertiary level of study.


Instructions:


In this assessment you must write a 1500-word essay on a topic relating to effective communication in business. The essay must refer to 4 peer-reviewed journals. Choose one topic from the following:


Topic 1 – Critically analyse the impact of technology on communication skills in the workplace.


Topic 2 – Critically analyse the importance of communication skills in the workplace.


Topic 3 – Communication is an art not a skill. Critically analyse the statement.


Building on the skill of analysing text in assessment 1, you are expected to demonstrate:
