They may be historical or contemporary. They should not be a person previously selected or one you have already discussed in this course. Identify and describe positive and negative examples of leadership, ethics, analysis amid intelligence, decision-making, and strategy. Explain how the leader sought or seeks competitive advantage along a spectrum of adversity. Wrap up the essay with your personal conclusion regarding the success or failure of personal strategic thought and leadership.
3. Conduct a detailed review of Phillip Meilingers book, Limiting Risk in Americas Wars: Airpower, Asymmetrics, and a New Strategic Paradigm. Identify and describe positive and negative examples of leadership, ethics, intelligence analysis, decision-making, and strategy discussed in the book. Identify and explain Meilingers thesis. Do you agree or disagree with his recommendations for how the US should seek competitive advantage in future wars. Why or why not? Wrap up the essay with your personal conclusion regarding Meilingers arguments surrounding strategic thought and leadership.
